GIRLS INTER-DISTRICT COMPETITIONS
ENIOLA ALUKO SHIELD
Named in honour of the former Broadmeadow Primary School pupil (Kings Norton District), this shield is competed for during the winter months. The league competition is arguably the most prestigious of the BPSFA girls competitions.
This 7-a-side competition is the curtain raiser of the BPSFA season and traditionally played for during the opening weeks of the academic year.
Another 7-a-side competition, just like the Autumn Cup, this round robin competition provides each district with the opportunity to compete against one another.
The plush surroundings of Aston Villa's training ground Bodymoor Heath acts as the setting for our only 9-a-side competition of the season.
Girls District Games: Key Information
All district players MUST attend a school within the district whom they represent;
Games take place on evenings throughout the season - a minimum of once every half-tem
All BPSFA district games are played at the Vale Stadium, Castle Vale.
During the cold, dark winter months, this 6-a-side competition is played indoors at Villa Park Academy and provides the girls with the opportunity to play football on a smaller than normal scale.
A traditional knock-out competition, the BPSFA Cup pits districts against each other in 60 minute 7-a-side games. The winners of each round progress one step closer to the eventual final which serves as the closing game of the BPSFA season.
